i have a 100 gallon tank. the brand of my filter is fluval. Now i tried changing the filter pads from my filter, but i dont know how to take the water out of the filter. If you are careful, you can lift out the canister exposing the filter pads and media without spilling (much) water out. You can then pour the water from the filter down the sink......do your work and then re-prime the filter
