i have a 4000 liters fish pond made of cement and i am not using filter but i change water every sunday its very huge i am tired of doing that and my fishes are african cichlids very hard to catch them so i am planing to use a filter and i am not using any sand or gravel ,so please tell me which type of filter is good for my tank and should i use sand or gravel , my tank is circular 2.3 ft deep and radius is 5 ft.base of the tank is rough finishing i have painted rubber paint(blue colour) and there is arrangement of rocks in it .very good sun light (not direct). and how should i clean my fish poo without removing full water . it would be better if you could suggest filters which are in indian marketWhich filter i have to use for my 4000 liters(1056 gallons) tank?You'd probably be best looking into filters designed for Koi Ponds, they'll be big though, but big tanks mean big filters, too big to carry away from a market!

http://www.koicarp.org.uk/koi_filters.htWhich filter i have to use for my 4000 liters(1056 gallons) tank?let it be a pond or an aquarium.....a good floor bed is required(sand/gravel or rocks)...as uhav painted it blue so any dirt is fairly visible on it....wher as a sand bed wil make the floating/suspended dirt to settle on it!....i suggest u to put in some rocks,aquatic plants and some corals aswell.....they r pond fishes and need the adaptations of a typical pond.....if u r keen on gettin a filter,u get one at an aquarium shop...go for the one with more suction power and large filter area(usually the vertical ones)......fix it and let it run for a few hours everyday.....this way water is clean and any heavy dirt will settle on the sand floor!Which filter i have to use for my 4000 liters(1056 gallons) tank?why dont you keep 2 or 3 mini tanks or you have many famous ones
